FlightsFlights is the trading name for licensed Australian travel agency and airline
consolidator Direct Flights International Pty Ltd (www.directflights.com.au). FlightsFlights
operates under the Direct Flights travel agents’ license number 2TA003432, and licensed
IATA member number (02 34167).
Our Story:
FlightsFlights was launched in 2009 by Direct Flights International as a discount
airfare booking engine. Unlike Direct Flights, which offers airfare, hotel, car
hire, activity booking, holiday packages and insurance, FlightsFlights focuses specifically
on finding cheap domestic and international flights for travellers, as well as provides
travel insurance.
Our History:
Parent company, Direct Flights International was established in 1990 to provide
a unique service to the niche market of the Indochina community, and over the last
19 years has grown to be one of Australia’s most popular and trusted discount travel
operators.
In 1990, DFI initiated a charter contract using Qantas Airways starting the first
direct service into Vietnam from Australia with a Boeing 767-300ER with capacity
of 240 seats and 9 tonnes of cargo operating 45 flights a year. DFI also ran a GSA
for Vietnam Airlines and Lao Aviation in 1994 to 1996 in Australia.
When Qantas commenced their own direct flight services to Vietnam, Direct Flights
branched out to become a consolidator of airfares for various airlines specialising
in the Asian market.
In 2004, Direct Flights began to expand their services beyond travel consolidation
and engage the consumer directly with the launching of their dynamic booking engine
www.directflights.com.au. Over the
past five years, www.directflights.com.au
has served tens of thousands of travellers both within Australia and across the
globe, providing affordable travel and delivering it with award winning technology
through their customer friendly booking engine.
