located just 25 minutes from Airlie Beach and is only 12 kilometres south of Proserpine.
Whitsunday Coast Airport currently offers jet flights daily to Brisbane and four
jet flights a week direct to Sydney, these services are provided by Virgin Blue
and Jetstar.
Facilities are available for charter flights and light aircraft. Hire car and transfer
services agencies including Hertz, Europcar, Avis and Thrifty; bus, coach, taxi
and limousine services on an individual or share basis; and a reservations centre
to book accommodation or tours in the Whitsundays. The Whitsunday Coast Airport
terminal hosts a fully licensed cafe, bar and kiosk. Automatic Teller Machine facilities
and public amenities are also provided. Whitsunday Coast airport, located just south
of Proserpine is the main domestic airport for the region. Virgin blue and Jetstar

airport to the central town of Airlie Beach through cane fields and undulating hill

Several local coach and bus lines operates services from the Whitsunday Coast Airport,
such as Whitsunday Transit, which transports people between the airport and the
rail station and surrounding local areas, such as the ever-popular Airlie Beach
and Shute Harbour. Whitsunday Taxis operate from the airport, and local taxi companies
operate a co-ordinated taxi share system. Parking at the airport is free and plentiful.
The Whitsunday Airport is only 15km away from Airlie Beach, which translates into
an easy 15 minute drive.
